The Isle of Man Dance Teachers Association (IOMDTA) represents a network of affiliated dance schools across the Island, offering ballroom, Latin, and sequence dancing for all ages and abilities. 

With schools located in Onchan, Douglas, Ramsey, Kirk Michael, and Port Erin, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved, whether dancing for enjoyment or working towards competition level.

Taking Part in Competitions

To take part in IOMDTA competitions, dancers train through affiliated schools that operate within the recognised structure of the association and in line with standards set by the British Dance Council. 

Each school offers its own approach to teaching, class structure, and progression, allowing dancers and families to choose what suits them best.

It's not all competition...

We include a fun dance where the children get to follow a set routine performed by our dance teachers. Those who reach the final then have a donation bucket, with all funds going to our chosen charity. It's a fun way to raise money for charity and include the children, doing what they love best, dancing and of course they can dress up as well....

The schools listed below are all affiliated members of the Isle of Man Dance Teachers Association. While each operates independently, all are part of the recognised structure supporting ballroom dancing on the Island. Each association member holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
