To take part in IOMDTA competitions, dancers train through affiliated schools that operate within the recognised structure of the association and in line with standards set by the British Dance Council.
Each school offers its own approach to teaching, class structure, and progression, allowing dancers and families to choose what suits them best.
The schools listed below are all affiliated members of the Isle of Man Dance Teachers Association. While each operates independently, all are part of the recognised structure supporting ballroom dancing on the Island. Each association member holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
Some schools may have limited online presence, however all offer opportunities to learn, develop, and participate in competitions through the IOMDTA.
